Aboutabout

I began photography at the age of ten when I received a gift of my first camera and a home darkroom hobby kit. I was immediately obsessed and would photograph anything or anyone that would hold still. Early on, I developed a strong interest and satisfaction in photographing people. I became an avid student of the works of Richard Avedon, Arnold Newman and Irving Penn, studying not only the technical aspects of their photography, but also their ability to accurately portray the personality of their subjects. It is this ability that I have strived to emulate through my years of photographing people, trying to capture their personality rather than just the mere two-dimensional reflection of their image.

Please take a moment to wander through my images for a taste of my work.
